Standing In The Gap

I want to take a few minutes to just celebrate you. To celebrate all that you’ve accomplished. All that you’ve faced and have overcome. I want to celebrate those small victories that maybe you weren’t recognized for.

Maybe you lost a close friend recently or perhaps, the loss of your mother or father. Maybe you weren’t afforded the opportunity to have a close relationship or even know your father – I stand in the gap. In the event you haven’t heard these words lately, “I’m proud of you!”

The resilient heart withstands the winds of change, just as the flexible branch of a tree bends but does not break.

Sometimes I too forget to celebrate my wins and those small victories. In the midst of transformation, in the midst of the struggle, block out a few minutes to reflect on all that you’ve accomplished. Think about how far you’ve come. Think about the person you’re becoming. Think about how the winds picked up in the recent season but you didn’t break.

James Allen once said; “Cherish your visions; cherish your ideals; cherish the music that starts in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow all delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these, if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be built.

Thank you for being authentic to who you are. Thank you for all that you stand for and all that you represent. Thank you for your resilience, tenacity, strength of will, and endurance in the struggle.

Standing in the gap,
